| When I was young (maybe 7 or 8... or 9 or 10 or 11 or 17... jk), my dad brought home 7 baby chicks for us to play with. As they got bigger we gave all but one away which we kept in our self made hutch. It used to lay green eggs, and we used to eat the green eggs. Sometimes the hen would eat her own egg, which we thought was super odd. I remember crying one time, because I thought my hen was stupid.
Anyway, one evening my pet chicken disappeared, and my dad told me that it was probably eaten by a cat. I totally believed him - until today!!!
Soooo, as we were chatting (we're on a mini-vac in S.Barbara right now - there is NOT MUCH to do around here), my dad says, "When you were little, your uncle killed our pet chicken, and we ate it for dinner." Then he proceeds to tell me what I said about my chicken dinner that night. Apparently, I said that the chicken was "delicious" and half-jokingly asked them if it was our pet chicken and stood up to go check our backyard Of course they assured me that it was store bought and did not let me check the backyard.
Hahaha! I believed them all these years. The nasty neighborhood cat didn't eat it - I ATE MY PET CHICKEN!

| Ever wonder how they name the furniture at Ikea? Here it is!!!
- Sofas, coffee tables, bookshelves, media storage and doorknobs are named after places in Sweden (Klippan, Malmö)
- Beds,
wardrobes and hall furniture after places in Norway; carpets after
places in Denmark and dining tables and chairs after places in Finland.
- Bookcases are mainly occupations (Bonde, peasant farmer; Styrman, helmsman).
- Bathroom stuff is named after lakes and rivers.
- Kitchens are generally grammatical terms
- Kitchen
utensils are spices, herbs, fish, fruits, berries, or functional words
such as Skarpt (it means sharp, and it's a knife).
- Chairs and desks are Swedish men's names (Roger, Joel)
- Materials and curtains are women's names.
- Children's items are mammals, birds and adjectives (Ekorre is a set of children's toy balls; it means squirrel)
